Dementia Series - 2023

When completing my BA in Fine Art in 2023, I wanted to explore the experience I'd gained while working, with people affected by dementia, with my new life as a painter. The works below consider the impact on memory caused by dementia; the confusion of the present with the clarity of the past. Incorporating objects clearly remembered from my own childhood brought an emotive, personal connection to the works.
