Dementia series

When completing my BA in Fine Art in 2023, I wanted to explore the experience I'd gained while working with people affected by dementia. The works below consider the impact on short and long-term memory caused by dementia. Often there is confusion in the present but greater clarity emerges of past memories. By incorporating objects clearly remembered from my own childhood these works also resonate on a personal level while the suggested surroundings of corridors in a care home stem from the often expressed wish of 'wanting to go home'.
