Abstract
'By 2030 we want England to be a country in which the creativity of each of us is valued and given the chance to flourish.' (Let's Create,(2020), Arts Council England)
Focussing on the art programme partnerships that exist along the south coast of Sussex as well as those initiated by the charities Arts 4 Dementia and Outside In, this research, carried out in 2022, responds to the ACE vision above and explores how and to what extent partnerships are enabling those with special support needs to explore their creativity and experience its value.
To maintain a current focus and to explore local experiences and views, interviews were carried out from February to April with personnel who have responsibility for forming and managing partnerships within their relevant organisations. Alongside this, factual information and secondary comment has been gathered through a range of publications, reports and websites.
The research is presented online with the rationale, methodology and findings written up in the Blog. Factual information about the organisations researched is below in addition to a link for accessing the blog entries.
